Sacramento Kings guard De'Aaron Fox had undoubtedly the best season of his young career, averaging 17.3 points, 7.3 assists, and 3.8 rebounds per game while shooting 45 percent from the field and 37 percent from 3. He's one of the front-runners to win this season's Most Improved Player of the Year honors.

However, there are a lot of people who aren't ready to ride Fox's bandwagon just yet, as they believe there are far more deserving players to be given the MIP award than the Kings sophomore. Well, the 21-year-old took a shot at some of his doubters on Instagram.

There are a lot of worthy candidates to win the Most Improved Player of the Year award. There's Pascal Siakam of the Toronto Raptors, Los Angeles Clippers' Montrezl Harrell, and even first-time All-Star D'Angelo Russell from the Brooklyn Nets. However, no one can really say that Fox shouldn't be in the same conversation as those guys, especially with the major strides he had this past season.

Fox is one of the main reasons why the Kings were in the playoff race during the final months of the regular season. Although the team came up short, he still gave Sacramento fans something to cheer for.

The Kings have a promising young core led by Fox, Buddy Hield, and Bogdan Bogdanovic, and with new head coach Luke Walton, the team is looking forward to making the postseason next year.
