DeMarcus Cousins knows how to annoy Sacramento Kings fans. The NBA free agent big man showed just that on Tuesday when he changed his profile picture seemingly indicating he's returning to the team where his career started.
Cousins' new profile photo is that of a cartoon gorilla with a purple No. 15 jersey on–similar to that of the Kings. Of course it sparked speculations that he's coming back to Sacramento, much to the shock and disappointment of several fans.

Several Kings supporters joked about the photo, mentioning former team broadcaster Grant Napear who was known critic of the big man. Some also can't believe what he's hinting and noted that he must simply be trolling.

While the change could be deemed as simply DeMarcus Cousins venturing into NFL, like what Stephen Curry did when he changed his Twitter photo to an NFT of the popular Bored Yacht ape, some used it as an opportunity to poke fun at the center. Several haters mocked Cousins as well and how his career has panned out since the Kings traded him in 2017.

I really hope you’re not back

It's unknown what message Cousins want to send with his move, but it sure looks unlikely he'll make a return to Sacramento at this points of his career. The team is nowhere near contention, and they are already filled with big men headed by Marvin Bagley III, Richaun Holmes and Tristan Thompson.
Hey, it might just really be Cousins promoting an upcoming NFT. And what better way to get people talking by involving the Kings?
