Dewayne Dedmon, now of the Sacramento Kings, is excited about his new team's ‘fast pace' style of play.

Per Jason Jones of The Athletic, Dedmon said that he's looking forward to the Kings' up-tempo style. Sacramento had been keeping a close eye on Dedmon when he was with the Atlanta Hawks. Since during his stint there, the team was also operating a high-octane offense.

“It’s definitely something I’m looking forward to,” Dedmon said. “Fast pace, getting up and down the floor, catching some lobs, shoot some 3s. It’s going to be fun. I’m looking forward to it.”

The Kings picked up the seven-foot athletic center from the free agency market, inking a three-year, $40 million deal. Sacramento will be his sixth team in his six-year NBA career. Last season with the Hawks, he averaged 10.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.1 blocks across 25.1 minutes. He also shot 49.2 percent from the field and 38.2 percent from deep.

Apart from being used to a high-octane style of play, the Kings also liked Dedmon's shooting touch from the outside — something that came in relatively late in his career.

Dedmon will join the Kings' young guns De'Aaron Fox, Marvin Bagley III and Buddy Hield. Hopefully, Dedmon's presence can help the young team reach its fullest potential.
