Sacramento Kings small forward Harrison Barnes announced on Twitter that he has tested positive for COVID-19.

Barnes is in quarantine and will join the Kings in Orlando after he has completed his quarantine:

Barnes, Buddy Hield, Jabari Parker and Alex Len are the known Kings players to have tested positive for COVID-19.

The “bubble” games are set to start on July 30. To make the playoffs for the first time since 2006, the Kings have to play very well in the eight seeding games and hope the Memphis Grizzlies, New Orleans Pelicans, Portland Trail Blazers, San Antonio Spurs and Phoenix Suns falter.

The Kings will take on the Spurs, Orlando Magic, Dallas Mavericks, Pelicans (twice), Brooklyn Nets, Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers in the seeding games.

Before the season was suspended in March, Barnes was averaging 14.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists for Sacramento. The 28-year-old swingman, who won the 2015 championship with the Golden State Warriors, was also shooting 45.9 percent from the field, 38.3 percent from beyond the arc and 80.3 percent from the free-throw line.

The Kings have the longest playoff drought in the NBA. Most pundits aren't giving the club a chance to reach the postseason this year, adding more fuel for Barnes and Co. to shock the world at Disney.

Once the seeding games start, Sacramento will need De'Aaron Fox, Marvin Bagley III, Bogdan Bogdanovic and Harrison Barnes to play at a high level for the team to clinch the eighth seed out West.
