The Sacramento Kings recently snapped an eight-game losing streak by coming out victorious in a matchup with the Memphis Grizzlies at the Golden 1 Center. De'Aaron Fox and Buddy Hield led the team as expected but Bogdan Bogdanovic was a significant contributor off the bench before he was sidelined with an injury.

Sean Cunningham of ABC10 reported that head coach Luke Walton is “hopeful that Bogi can play vs. Pelicans”.

Bogdan Bogdanovic finished the game with 16 points, and 8 of those came in the first 4 minutes of the fourth quarter that would permanently sway the momentum into Sacramento's favor. During that same quarter, Bogdanovic seemed to tweak his right ankle.

Bogdanovic seemed frustrated as he went to sit down, understandably as he has an injury history. He missed 12 games last season and has missed 5 games so far into this year. The Kings have lost all 5 of those games.

Losing Bogdanovic is a huge deal for a team that has struggled to recently reintegrate several key players including star point guard De'Aaron Fox after a 17 game absence with a grade 3 ankle sprain as well as Marvin Bagley who has been out so often from varying injuries,

The Kings play the New Orleans Pelicans at Golden 1 Center on Saturday, January 4th, 2020 at 7 P.M. PST with Bogdanovic currently listed as day-to-day.
