Dewayne Dedmon publicly confirmed he would like to be traded from the Sacramento Kings, but Kings head coach Luke Walton said as recently as last Friday “he hasn’t made that clear to me.”

Demon signed a three-year, $40 million contract with the Kings this past offseason, but he has fallen out of Walton's rotation.

“He hasn’t made that clear to me,” Walton said, via the Sacramento Bee. “It’s like I always say, ‘If it’s noise on the outside, leave it on the outside.’ If you have something and you want to bring it to me, I’ve got an open-door policy. We can talk about that, but as far as I know that’s outside news still. We’re focused on our group and what we need to do.”

Dewayne Dedmon has appeared in 23 games for the Kings this season. He’s averaging 4.8 points and 3.8 rebounds per game while shooting 41.9 percent from the field, 22.9 percent from beyond the arc and 84.6 percent from the free-throw line.

According to James Ham of NBC Sports California, there is a trade market for Dedmon, but the deal has to make sense for the Kings if they are going to move the center.

We’ll see what the Kings decide to do with Dedmon moving forward. Sacramento is 12-21 on the season and currently on a seven-game losing streak.
