It was a forgettable sophomore campaign for Sacramento Kings big man Marvin Bagley III, who himself ended up playing just 13 games for his team due to injury. The 21-year-old appears to have completely recovered from his season-ending foot injury, and is now raring to go to start the new campaign.

According to Bagley, he's already moved past the injury, and is now ready to put it behind him:

“I really don’t care to talk about it anymore,” said Bagley, via Jordan Ramirez of NBA.com. “I’m just looking forward. I’m excited to be with this new group of guys, these new faces we’ve got here, and I’m excited to build on what we’ve been doing so far.”

Bagley admitted that it was tough for him to have to sit out majority of the previous season, but also expressed how that experience motivated him to come out with a better mindset for the new campaign:

“I’ve got a lot of fire inside right now from sitting out so long,” Bagley said.

“I’m feeling great, man. I’m feeling the best I’ve ever felt in a while. I took time this offseason to put more time into my body, just do everything I can control to make sure I’m on the court and available for my team.”

Over his first two seasons with the Kings, the 6-foot-11 big man has averaged 14.8 points (on 49.7 percent shooting), 7.6 rebounds, and 1.0 assists in 25.3 minutes per contest. He remains to be one of the key pieces of Sacramento's young core, and the 2020-21 season could be a breakout year for the former Duke standout.
