The first three years in the NBA for Marvin Bagley III have not gone according to plan. The Sacramento Kings forward has had trouble staying healthy for one, but even when he's been on the court it's been underwhelming.

As a result, the former No. 2 overall pick from the 2018 NBA Draft has found his name in many trade rumors and discussions. When he recently liked a tweet suggestion the Kings should trade him elsewhere, it sparked even more dialogue as to where Bagley could end up.

Bagley has now spoken out on the matter and the liked tweet, defending his stance, via the “Halfway Decent Pod.”

“First of all, it’s my Twitter, bro,” Bagley said. “It’s my Twitter. It has my name on it. I can like whatever I choose and please, and whatever I feel like liking…That just came from frustration,” Bagley said, elaborating on his reasons for liking a tweet that disparaged his team. “I wouldn’t even say frustration, just that built-up fire. I think I did it after watching Trae go for 50 in the playoffs and they’re winning. As a competitor, that just makes me want to get to that and I need to be there.” – Marvin Bagley III via the “Halfway Decent Pod” and the Sacramento Bee.

What the Kings opt to do moving forward with the former No. 2 overall pick is yet to be seen but his days in Sacramento could be numbered. Sacramento was reported to have had plenty of conversations during the NBA Trade Deadline this past year involving Bagley, but never found a trade they found to be worthwhile. For now, Bagley remains a member of the Kings.
