The Sacramento Kings appear to be intent on retaining the services of up-and-coming guard Bogdan Bogdanovic as the Western Conference franchise has apparently offered the potential superstar a multi-year contract extension. According to a Tuesday evening report from Jason Anderson of the Sacramento Bee, the Kings have offered Bogdanovic a four-year, $51.4 million contract extension to remain with the team for years to come.

However, Bogdanovic remains in no hurry to sign such an agreement, according to the recent report.

“I would like to stay,” Bogdanovic told Anderson. “Everyone knows that I love Sacramento. Everyone loves to be here. It’s a great group of guys. I’m happy right now and I was happy all these years, but I don’t want to rush anything.”

It is also worth noting that such an offer is considered to be a maximum contract extension under NBA rules.

Anderson was also quick to add that Bodganovic is not the only players that the Kings are currently engaged in contract negotiations with. The Kings are reportedly involved in contract negotiations with both Bogdanovic and fellow up-and-coming guard Buddy Hield. Adding to the intrigue of the whole situation, the Kings have until October 21st to re-sign Hield and until June 30th to retain Bogdanovic or else both players will become restricted free agents during the summer of 2020.

“Maybe we will sign tomorrow. Maybe we sign in a month. Who knows? We will see,” Bogdanovic added.
With the 2019-20 regular season now on the immediate horizon, the Kings will certainly have a busy few days ahead of them.
