Many rumors have surfaced recently claiming that the Sacramento Kings are working on a deal to acquire Ben Simmons of the Philadelphia 76ers.

A source informed Sam Amick of The Athletic that the Kings have no interest in bringing back forward, Tobias Harris, in a Ben Simmons trade with the 76ers.

The Kings previously stated on Wednesday that they have no intentions to move De'Aaron Fox, but they remain interested in Ben Simmons. However, with the recent Fox news, it will be more difficult to complete the deal than it was previously. A deal would now be doubtful since the Sixers are still searching for a top 25 player in the NBA, which the Kings are unable to deliver at this time.

Ben Simmons on this Kings roster would be a valuable asset. Simmons is a high-level defender with height that the Kings could utilize. It would make sense if they attempted to put together a deal for him, but it would not make sense if they decided to trade De'Aaron Fox for him, and it seems highly doubtful that they will do so.

It will be intriguing to see what trade Simmons and the Sixers can strike, but nothing appears to have gathered traction between the Sixers and another franchise at this time.

Instead of seeking for a single star, they could be better off going out and getting multiple guys that can better complement this team.
