Former NBA stars Kobe Bryant and Mike Bibby had numerous playoffs games against each other when the Los Angeles Lakers and the Sacramento Kings were the powerhouse teams in the early 2000s. Now both 40-years old, the Kings' Twitter account just couldn't help but compare their former point guard with the Black Mamba.

On his birthday, Bryant posted had a birthday post on his Instagram account, a cause of delight for the social media people. He deliberately put emphasis on his flexed biceps in what could be a message towards his haters, both on the court.

Bibby also sparked the internet in a similar way when photos of the ripped and buff ex-Kings point guard surfaced on social media platforms. As soon as Bryant posted a photo of his flexed muscles, it was really just a matter of time before someone made the connection between the 40-year-old versions of him and Bibby.

Bibby last played for the New York Knicks in the 2011-12 season. He was an integral part of the Kings team that made it all the way to the 2002 Western Conference Finals, only to lose to Bryant, Shaquille O'Neal, and the rest of the Lakers in heartbreaking fashion.

He had his best scoring season in 2006 when he averaged 21.1 points and 5.4 assists per game for the Kings. But after outstanding stints with the Atlanta Hawks, Bibby saw his numbers decline and ultimately played his final NBA game at the age of 33.

On the other hand, fans all over the world are still clamoring for Kobe to come out from retirement. However, he has since shut down any talks of his comeback and has busied himself in off-court ventures.
