DeMarcus Cousins' name has been in trade rumors for some time now.

There has always been an overall feeling in general that the fit for Cousins in Sacramento is not perfect. Yet Boogie continues to put up huge numbers and has never publicly asked to be traded.

Still, a move feels inevitable. But one thing has to happen first.

CSN Northeast's Jackie MacMullan reports that Kings part owner Vivek Ranadive doesn't want to trade Cousins and the team won't move forward in doing so until he does.

“Vivek Ranadive does not want to trade DeMarcus Cousins,” MacMullan said. “As long as that's the case, all this talk is just that. It's talk.”

We all know the power Ranadive has with the team. It was he who famously pushed for and ultimately got Nik Stauskas in the 2014 NBA Draft. If he doesn't want to let go of Cousins yet, it's probably not happening.

The Kings are still a struggling team this season, despite Cousins flirting with 30 and 10 every night. If something doesn't change soon, changes will be coming to Sacramento.
