The Sacramento Kings are expected to be active at the NBA trade deadline and the franchise wants to add more length and size at the small forward position, and a veteran point guard who can come off the bench and give them good minutes, according to Jason Ham of NBC Sports California.

The Kings have shocked a lot of people this season. Sacramento is 23-21 on the year, good for 10th place in the Western Conference standings.

The rumor mill is churning, but NBC Sports California continues to hear that the Kings have no intention of taking on any long-term deals, unless it helps the team win today and down the road. They also aren't in the mood to help another franchise save money, unless assets are attached.

According to sources, high on the Kings’ priority list is adding more length and size at the small forward position, as well as a veteran point guard to bring off the bench.

The Kings have previously been linked to Washington Wizards small forward Otto Porter Jr. Right now, Sacramento has Buddy Hield, Bogdan Bogdanovic and Justin Jackson at the swingman position.

De'Aaron Fox is having a stellar sophomore campaign. The 21-year-old point guard is averaging 17.9 points and 7.3 assists per game. Fox is playing around 31 minutes a night, though, so it looks like the Kings want to get him a quality backup so the youngster doesn't get worn out.
