The weeks leading up to the NBA trade deadline is always a busy time of year. The Sacramento Kings could be one of the busiest teams this time around, as they are desperate to snap their 15-year playoff drought and have some players that opposing teams are interested in.

NBA reporter Marc Stein wrote that the Kings are heading into the trade deadline with several teams on their phones and will likely trade two of their older wings.

Bear in mind that the Kings are in talks with numerous teams on numerous trade fronts and thus could proceed in a variety of directions. There is a rising belief around the league that Sacramento will indeed trade Barnes before this deadline after rebuffing all the interest he generated last season. The Pistons continue to be mentioned as a potential destination for Marvin Bagley III and Sacramento is likewise expected to trade Buddy Hield after nearly completing a deal in July that would have made Hield a Los Angeles Laker.

Harrison Barnes and Buddy Hield have been involved in trade talks for a while now. Both veterans have proven to be reliable shooters and could offer an offensive upgrade for several teams. They are also both on sizable contracts, which could help Sacramento's ability to land a high-quality player if they attach enough assets in a trade.

Nothing is off the table for the Kings, as even budding star De'Aaron Fox could get traded away in the right deal. A swap with Fox and Ben Simmons has been explored by both the Kings and Philadelphia 76ers.

Sacramento's desire to get into playoff contention could lead them to drastically alter their roster in the coming weeks.
