Sacramento Kings swingman Bogdan Bogdanovic displayed his offensive abilities via a sky-high lay-up over LeBron James' outstretched arms.

Midway through the final period of Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers, Bogdanovic totally owned the four-time MVP as he escaped LeBron and attacked the basket.

The Kings eventually lost to the Lakers 111-106, but Bogdan Bogdanovic finished with 17 points, four assists and two rebounds across 30 minutes. He also drained three 3-pointers in four attempts.

Other contributors include rookie Marvin Bagley III who recorded a double-double of 25 points and 11 rebounds and Buddy Hield who finished with 18 points and drained five 3-pointers out of 12 attempts.

The Kings now sport a 36-37 record for ninth place in the Western Conference. With nine games remaining in the regular season, they are 6.5 games behind the San Antonio Spurs who own the eighth spot. It's still mathematically possible for them to qualify, but things are looking bleak for the young Sacramento squad.

The good thing for them is that they showed remarkable improvement from a season ago. Last year, the finished with a 27-55 record. They have clearly exceeded that record this year.

Moreover, based on their play this year, a big three is in bloom in Sacramento. De'Aaron Fox,  Buddy Hield and Marvin Bagley III have shown everyone that they are the future of the NBA and of the Kings franchise.
