While most of the chatter given to rookies this season has been for the likes of Ben Simmons, Lonzo Ball, and Donovan Mitchell, Sacramento Kings point guard De'Aaron Fox is also making a case for himself to be included in those conversations.

Over the past couple of months, Fox has had some solid performance, proving that he will be a future star in the league by showcasing his prowess on both ends of the floor.

During Thursday's game between the Kings and Brooklyn Nets, the Kentucky product showed off his ability to knock down clutch shots, as he sent the match into overtime with a floater right at the buzzer.

The shot earned the Kings a chance to win the game with a five-minute extension. They completed the come-from-behind victory, 116-111, with Fox having another impressive outing, finishing with 21 points, two rebounds, two steals, and two blocks, while Bogdan Bogdanovic and Willie Cauley-Stein chipped in 23 and 17 points, respectively.

The Nets, on the other hand, got big games from DeMarre Caroll, who recorded 22 points, to go along with 10 rebounds and four assists. D'Angelo Russell also had a double-double of his own with 15 points and 12 assists, but their efforts were not enough to give them a rare road victory.

The game-tying shot in regulation should only make Fox better as the season progresses. It will also boost his morale and prepare him for the coming seasons, where he is expected to be one of the Kings' cornerstones, along with Bogdanovic, Cauley-Stein, and Buddy Hield.
