Since entering the NBA back in 2011 as the 11th overall pick by the Golden State Warriors, Klay Thompson has made $111,048,999 through his NBA contracts, per Spotrac.

After selecting him out of Washington State, the Warriors signed Thompson to a two-year, $4.35 million rookie deal. The 2011-12 campaign was the lockout season, so Klay wasn't able to sign his first contract until December 13. He made $1,711,589 during his rookie season while averaging 12.5 points and 2.4 rebounds.

Klay Thompson made $2,222,160 in his second year in the league while increasing his scoring average to 16.6. The sharpshooter made his first All-Star team during the 2014-15 season. He made $3,075,880 that season but his rookie-scale extension was set to kick in the following campaign. Klay signed a four-year, $69 million rookie extension with the Dubs.

Thompson earned $3,075,880 in 2014-15. He and the Warriors won their first championship of the Stephen Curry era by defeating LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2015 Finals. In 2015-16, Klay made $15,501,000 and finally earned some real All-Star money. Thompson averaged 22.1 points while shooting 42.5 percent from the field. The Warriors won an NBA record 73 games.

However, the Dubs blew a 3-1 series lead in the 2016 Finals to the Cavs and lost. The sad times didn't last too long for Klay Thompson and the Warriors, though, as the club signed Kevin Durant in the summer of 2016 and won back-to-back titles in 2017 and 2018.

Thompson averaged 22.3 points during the 2016-17 season and made $16,663,575. The following season, he put up 20.0 points and earned $17,826,150. The Warriors defeated the Cavs in '17 and '18, with Durant winning Finals MVP both times. However, Thompson's play wasn't going unnoticed and he was setting himself up for a massive payday in the summer of 2019. Klay was set to become an unrestricted free agent that offseason.

The Warriors made it to their fifth straight Finals in 2019. Unfortunately, Durant tore his Achilles in Game 5 and Thompson tore his left ACL in Game 6. The Dubs lost the series to Kawhi Leonard and the Toronto Raptors in six games. Durant wound up signing with the Brooklyn Nets in free agency as part of a sign-and-trade deal with the Dubs.

Meanwhile, Klay Thompson still got his max contract despite tearing his ACL. Killa Klay signed a five-year, $189.9 million contract with the Warriors in the summer of 2019. He was set to make $32,742,000 in 2019-20 before games were suspended due to COVID-19.

Thompson has career averages of 19.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists. He will return to the court whenever the 2020-21 season starts. Klay will make $35,361,360 next season.
