Golden State Warriors players probably didn't love it when Kevin Durant admitted he was glad they lost in the NBA Finals.
Durant's comments don't sound good, but at the end of the day still kind of make sense. He's probably not going to Golden State if the Warriors are fresh off back-to-back titles.
Klay Thompson has finally responded to the comments and he wasn't too happy with what KD said.
“That's messed up, Kev.”
Durant found himself in a tough spot when he decided to speak on last year's NBA Finals honestly. Once again, his words made headlines as they will continue to do this season.
Durant says he's tired of being careful with what he says to the media and he's just going to tell it like it is from now on. He's under more scrutiny than ever for his decision this summer so it's new territory for the former beloved MVP.
Chemistry doesn't seem to be an issue for the Warriors as they've already appeared to be in midseason form in some of their preseason games. Durant's work with Thompson in particular has been impressive as the two sharpshooters are meshing with ease.
Warriors players will likely get over Durant's comment soon once the regular season starts and the team starts winning a ton of games again.
