New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony has dominated in several pickup games this summer while wearing a hoodie sweater, which led to the birth of the legend of “Hoodie Melo.”
Much has been said about Anthony’s offseason alter ego as it has been a viral sensation, with NBA 2K18 even recognizing it and Scottie Pippen endorsing him and telling fans to “believe the hype.” An online petition has been made as well to let Anthony wear a hoodie during NBA games.
Now, one fan took the effort to honor this summer’s favorite Melo with a customized jersey which should very well be Anthony’s official uniform come the 2017-18 NBA season.
Twitter user Robert Gordon (@RobbieFingers) had a hooded Anthony home jersey made and shared the creation on the social networking platform.

Carmelo Anthony’s jersey wasn’t included in the NBA’s 15 highest-selling uniforms this past season, but that customized hooded jersey will certainly sell like hot cakes if it would be reproduced and sold. Though that is something far-fetched, there’s no doubt the Hoodie Melo saga won’t die any time soon.
The 33-year-old’s future remains in doubt after several trade rumors early in the offseason. However, with Anthony likely to start the new campaign with the Knicks, New York fans will certainly hope he can unleash the offensive prowess he has shown in the summer, even without the hoodie.
