Despite all the mind-blowing advances they make on the game year after year, the team behind NBA 2K still miss out on a few things every now and again. This is perfectly understandable, especially considering how hard they work to make the game as realistic as possible for the users.

Well, this does not seem to be the case for New York Knicks forward Bobby Portis, who recently called out the developers of NBA 2K with regards to his avatar's outdated look in the game.

Throughout his four-year career, Portis has sported several looks, which is probably what led to the confusion within the team behind this highly-popular game. Nevertheless, NBA 2K's digital marketing director, “Ronnie 2K,” caught wind of Portis' request, and assured the 6-foot-11 big man that they will be looking into this issue.

All's well that ends well, and Portis' look in the upcoming NBA 2K20 is another thing we will be looking out for once the highly-anticipated game hits shelves on September 6.

As for the real world Portis, the 24-year-old unrestricted free agent recently agreed to a huge two-year, $31 million deal with the Knicks. While the former 22nd overall pick has shown some potential to be a star somewhere down the road, it could be argued that at $15 million per season, New York are probably overpaying him a bit.

Portis could be a benefactor of the team's failure to land a premier superstar in free agency, as the team's front office scrambled to sign second-tier free agents in an effort to mask their shortcomings.

Last season, Portis averaged 14.3 points (on 44.0 percent shooting), 1.7 three-pointers, 8.6 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.4 blocks in 27.4 minutes per contest.
