There has finally been a resolution met in the situation between the New York Knicks and Charles Oakley involving his access to Madison Square Garden as the two sides reached a plea agreement in court earlier this week.

Although things are now clear from a legal standpoint for Oakley, he tweeted on Sunday morning that he will no problem staying away from the arena he used to play during his NBA career.

This was a situation that got completely out of hand that only painted Oakley in a light that many former players voiced disappointment with. At the same time, it also displayed some of the dysfunction that lies around the Knicks.

All of these hoops that Oakley has had to jump through since the incident make an easy decision in his mind to not attend Knicks games at Madison Square Garden. He has also voiced on few occasions his displeasures about how team owner James Dolan has handled the situation.

There is clearly no love lost on either end of the spectrum, and the 53-year-old appears to be perfectly fine with avoiding going to the arena altogether. It's also safe to say that he won't be back there for quite some time or possibly ever again.
