Despite another forgettable season, the New York Knicks currently have one of the most promising young cores in the league today. Head coach David Fizdale definitely agrees and has even gone out to say that no less than Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James and recently-retired Miami Heat Legend Dwyane Wade have reached out to his young guys.

“LeBron and D-Wade having been talking to our young guys,” Fizdale said, via Timothy Rapp of Bleacher Report.

While Fizdale did not disclose what exactly James and Wade have discussed with the Knicks' nucleus of young and promising talents — namely, Kevin Knox, Mitchell Robinson, and Dennis Smith Jr. — it would be safe to assume that these two veterans have been giving the youngsters some much needed advise about life in the league.

At the end of the day, the NBA is one big family, and as the older brothers in the league, James and Wade have taken it upon themselves to impart some of their knowledge to the next generation of stars.

Aside from their talent-packed core, the Knicks are looking to beef up their team even more in the summer with the addition of one or two max-contract players. Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving are just some of the names that have come up as potential recruits, and should this come to fruition, New York's youngsters will need to make some huge adjustments.

Moreover, the Knicks will also be adding a potentially franchise-altering prospect via the upcoming draft (Zion Williamson, anyone?) so this too will require even more adjustments.

Nevertheless, this is certainly a good problem to have for the New York and its ever-faithful fanbase. It's been quite some time, but at this point, it truly is an exciting time to be a Knicks fan.
