David Fizdale is gearing up for his first season with the New York Knicks. He was recently seen with another great coach, but not someone he'll ever need to worry about coaching against.

Mike Tomlin of the Pittsburgh Steelers took to Twitter to post a photo of himself with Fizdale at Steelers practice. The new Knicks coach is seen donning a Steelers hat and polo.

David Fizdale can get away with this one because Pittsburgh doesn't have a basketball team. He's not moving in on anyone's turf.

But the Jets and Giants of New York and New Jersey may be wondering when their city's new basketball coach is going to pop in on their practice. Fizdale is endearing himself to the New York faithful, but some Jets and Giants fans would love to see him stop by in Jersey.

Of course, no one should take this personally. According to Tomlin, he and Fizdale shared ideas and philosophies which, if you're a Knicks fan, is a good thing. Tomlin's record in the NFL is a sterling 124-67 (including the postseason) and one of those wins came against the Arizona Cardinals in the Super Bowl.

If Fizdale is picking up ideas and philosophies from Mike Tomlin, that's a good thing for the team that calls Madison Square Garden home.

Tomlin's season is only about a month away while Fizdale must wait a little bit longer for his team's season to begin. Fizdale and the Knicks kick off the season on Oct. 17 against Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks.
