The honeymoon might be over for David Fizdale and New York Knick fans, as the new head coach has an interesting idea for his lineup that resulted in fans not exactly being thrilled.
David Fizdale says he's thought of playing a big Knicks lineup with Kevin Knox at the 2 and a frontcourt of Kristaps Porzingis at the 3 with Luke Kornet and Mitchell Robinson. "I have a crush on wingspan." Says he doesn't want to pidgeonhole anyone to any position.

Holy smokes, Batman! That is one giant theoretical lineup.
Over the course of the last few seasons, Knicks fans haven't exactly been thrilled with the idea of Kristaps Porzingis using his time chasing around smaller players. In the David Fizdale plan, one of the world's most beloved unicorns could theoretically end up guarding someone like Trevor Ariza or some other far quicker players.
Alas, it is worth noting that this could simply be a coach saying something without much meaning. After all, saying you like something in your head isn't close to the same of doing that thing.
Still, here's some of Knicks Twitter losing their marbles.
And with that, the David Fizdale honeymoon phase officially comes to an end. https://t.co/IPtEz28tS2

It wasn't only the honeymoon that felt over, it was the sense of unsettling familiarity rushing over.
Just KNEW I'd tweeted something like this before. Everything happens in cycles. https://t.co/lvawAgvFHm

Again, this is not the end of the world. Heck, no one even knows if guys like Kevin Knox and/or Mitchell Robinson will see a lot of time on the floor over the next season or two.
Fizdale, who is widely accepted as a good coach, will likely clarify these comments at some point. Or, maybe not. Who knows?
