The New York Knicks are playing playoff basketball again and it's a welcome sight. Game 1 against the Atlanta Hawks was met with a wild Madison Square Garden as fans flocked in to see their team. Former NBA MVP Derrick Rose started the festivities and got the fans on their feet in the first quarter.

Of course, Rose has been a huge part of their success since he wound up in New York via trade from the Detroit Pistons. He's been so good that he was named as a finalist for the Sixth Man of the Year award as the Knicks grabbed the 8-seed in the Eastern Conference.

Then came Knicks rookie Obi Toppin, a name that fans have been itching to hear since draft night. Toppin electrified the Madison Square Garden crown with this electric dunk.

After being select at No. 8 overall after a stellar career at Dayton, Toppin played limited minutes in his rookie season. He averaged just 4.1 points per game in 62 appearances for Tom Thibodeau's squad.

However, maybe Toppin is exactly what the Knicks need if they want to make a run in the Eastern Conference. Nonetheless, Rose and Toppin sent this crown into a frenzy in the first half as they look to beat Trae Young and the Hawks and continue their tremendous season.
