The trade deadline has come and gone, and Joakim Noah is still a New York Knick, even though you shouldn't expect to see him around the team anytime soon.

Steve Popper of The Record has all the details:

Knicks GM Scott Perry said with no trade made for Joakim Noah there is still no plan to have him return to the team.

There has been a huge divide between Noah and the Knicks after Noah felt he was lied to by head coach Jeff Hornacek who said he would play a solid amount of minutes against the Warriors. In that game, he finished with only five minutes of action, scoring two points.

That was the last straw for Noah as and coach Hornacek got into a heated argument and he ultimately took an “indefinite leave” from the team.

The Knicks have approached him about a buyout but Noah is not interested. After this season he will still have two years left on his four year, 72 million dollar deal.

It doesn't sound like there is much of a chance that he will take any sort of buyout that would leave a lot of money on the table, and not many teams knocking on his door to try and sign him.

He is still a decent player and a hard worker, but as he has gotten older he has lost a step, and it has really hurt his game.

He has also had some injury issues that he dealt with the last couple of years. If nothing else changes, we have probably seen our last game with Noah on the Knicks, but don't expect to see him play for any other team this year.
