New York Knicks center Enes Kanter is very active on social media, and at times he uses his presence online to talk smack to other NBA player, namely Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James.

Generally speaking, it's never a good idea to mess with James, who tends to go off on teams and players that mess with him. But Enes, bless his soul, doesn't seem to care. He likes to have fun and talk his trash, even if it's sometimes ineffective, per Ian Begley of ESPN.

Q: You have been quite outspoken against some of the Knicks' opponents, including LeBron James. How do your teammates react to that?

I think they love it; all the outspokenness, all the tweeting, all the trolling and stuff. They love it. … I respect [LeBron James] a lot, but on the court, it's totally different. I will try to do anything to get in their mind, get under their skin, so we can win the game. Because if they're down, we'll win the game. That's why I'm fighting them on the court, trying to talk trash, trolling them on social media. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

It'd be interesting to see just how many times trolling on James actually works versus how many times it doesn't. There should be a stat for that.

But it really doesn't matter. What is social media for if it's not for NBA players to talk trash to each other before and after games? Let's let players tweet smack during games. That would be fun.
