Enes Kanter of the New York Knicks recorded a 20/20 game as a reserve, joining only two players in the last 20 years who achieved a similar feat.

Kanter joins Kevin Love and Hassan Whiteside as the only players to record a 20/20 game off the bench.

In their 115-116 overtime loss against the Chicago Bulls, Kanter tallied 23 points and 24 rebounds in 41 minutes. This stellar performance comes in after Kanter was demoted to a reserve role. Mitchell Robinson, the Knicks' second-round pick in the 2018 NBA Draft took his spot.

Knicks head coach David Fizdale defended the change in the lineup, noting that he wants the team to be a defensive-minded squad and Mitchell will be the anchor of such team. Per Marc Berman of the New York Post:

“I’m looking at our team and I’m looking at our future, and we understand that to build the organization and the team that we want, we got to be a defensive-minded team, and Mitchell Robinson is a superior natural defender, so I just felt like let’s get this generated now.”

Kanter hasn't spoken much about his recent demotion. In their game against the Washington Wizards, Fizdale opted to take him out in exchange for Robinson, with over five minutes to play in the game, his team down by six points. In the game's critical moment, the rookie committed several fouls and even got T'd up. The Knicks lost and Kanter, who had 18 points and 14 rebounds before exiting, tweeted right after the game:

One can easily imply that Kanter is disappointed about how things are going. But before people read in too much, Kanter's most recent tweet reveals what he truly feels for his team:
