Given the success they’ve had so far to start the season, the New York Knicks are starting to make a lot of noise and are proving that they could contend for a playoff spot. While Kristaps Porzingis has been their undisputed leader on the court, his supporting cast are also performing well and complementing his solid game. That includes, Enes Kanter, who is having a solid campaign in his own right.

When asked what keeps him motivated night in and night out, the Turkish international surprisingly shared, via Stefan Bondy of the Daily News, that reading comments on Twitter has fueled him further in games.

“I read Twitter comments and I saw we did not win a game against Clippers since 2012,” Kanter said. “Those are the things that just fire me up before the game.”

It may not be a common way for players to keep themselves motivated, but the Knicks, as well as their fans, are certainly not complaining, as Enes Kanter is playing above expectations at this point. He has been producing impressive numbers of 13.8 points, 10.6 rebounds, and 1.1 assists through 16 games.

If he can sustain the momentum he has now as the season progresses, he could emerge as one of the most important players in their lineup, as well as a big part of the Knicks’ future plans.
