Entering the New York Knicks' Christmas day matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers, Enes Kanter was already coming off a huge night where he registered 22 points and 16 rebounds against the Detroit Pistons. But that wasn't enough for the bruising big man as fans at Madison Square Garden were treated to a rare performance in an already-special night.

Kanter scored 31 points and grabbed 22 rebounds in a monster effort against no less than Sixers giant Joel Embiid. His production was a rarity on Christmas day that only three players, legends at that, in NBA history have accomplished such holiday feat.

Enes Kanter got himself quite a present being placed side-by-side with Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, and Bob Lanier. The Turkish center, however, saw his effort still fall short of helping the Knicks come up with a victory. The Sixers took this one on the road, 105-98.

On the season, Kanter is averaging a double-double with 14.1 points and 10.4 rebounds per game. He's also shooting 60 percent from the field for the Knicks. Up next on their plate are the Chicago Bulls, who've been playing splendid over their last nine games.

Enes Kanter's numbers are on an upward trend so it'll be interesting to see if he can keep it up against resistance from Robin Lopez in the paint.
