A New York Knicks fan was kicked out of Madison Square Garden during Sunday's loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. According to Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News, the fan, later identified as Andrew Padilla, was heard chanting āFire Dolan,ā a nod to Knicks owner and MSG chairman James Dolan:
During last night's loss to the Cavs, there was an audible "fire Dolan" chant coming from at least one fan at the Garden. According to this account, that fan was booted by MSG security. https://t.co/8xm5JDHUZd

Padilla was confronted by a group of MSG security guards and was given a talking to before he was removed from his seat and shown the exit:
6 security guards just took me out my seat at Madison Square Garden for chanting "fire Dolan"
Masculinity and privilege can be so fragile.
I am a life long Knicks fan.
My father is a life long Knicks fan.
Knicks fans deserve better.

This is hardly the first time these type of removals have happened at MSG, as a fan was confronted by the owner himself last season as he approached the tunnel before being removed by arena security.
The most infamous of all removals was Knicks legend Charles Oakley, who was escorted out of his seat for what James Dolan claimed to be scandalous behavior:
Security followed me and my friend to the exit. The world's most famous arena is owned by the world's most fragile man.

Padilla is one of many to be critical of Knicks ownership, and who can blame him? The Knickerbockers were embarrassed by a young Cavs team, by 21 points no less.
The Knicks shot a ghastly 36% from the field and committed 21 turnovers in the game, which had many calling for the head coach and the front office to assume some responsibility after a head-scratching roster construction. The front-office duo of Steve Mills and Scott Perry even addressed the media after the disastrous loss.
After a 2-8 start, it seems the Knicks are once again trending toward the cellar of the Eastern Conference, with no signs of progress or hope to mend this start to the season.
