The free agency season is just around the corner, which means NBA teams will look to sign one of the top-tier free agents this summer. In addition, it's also the time when celebrities indirectly help the franchise their support, which is what rapper Fat Joe did when he saw incoming free agent Kyrie Irving recently. He made an attempt to convince the All-Star guard to come to the New York Knicks.

Over the past few months, tons of rumors have circulated around the league, saying that Irving's preferred destination is the Knicks. However, that narrative seems to have changed recently, as there are reports that Kyrie has narrowed down his choices to the Los Angeles Lakers and the Brooklyn Nets. In addition, the Boston Celtics are still optimistic that they can convince him to stay. In short, the Knicks will be facing stiff competition this summer.
The Knicks have enough cap space to sign two of the best free agents this summer to max contracts. So if they will be able to get Irving, it is highly possible that they will pair him with another superstar; someone like Kevin Durant.
Of course, fans won't know who will go where until free agency opens on July 1. Until the dotted line is signed, all reports that will come out for the rest of June will be nothing but hearsay.
But who knows, maybe guys like Fat Joe and other celebrities will have an impact with some of the free agents' decisions.
