New York Knicks guard Frank Ntilikina is reportedly set to be out of action until after the NBA All-Star break.

Ntilikina has been dealing with a groin injury that has kept him off the court for the past five games , and head coach David Fizdale recently said that he could be out of action for a few weeks.

At this point, it looks like the injury will cause Ntilikina to be sidelined for a while longer, according to Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News:

Ntilikina is averaging 5.9 points and 2.8 assists per game in what's certainly been a disappointing season for the Knicks.

New York now sits at 10-43 overall, and with numerous roster moves being made recently, things probably won't get all that better for Fizdale's team this season.

After trading away Kristaps Porzingis to the Dallas Mavericks, the Knicks have also decided to release former starting center Enes Kanter, who saw his role decreased throughout the season.

Now, the franchise will likely turn its attention to a few primary targets in free agency this summer due to their current cap space.

And with players like Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis seemingly set to leave their current teams at some point, the Knicks would love to be in the mix so that they can become a force in the Eastern Conference once again.
