Frank Ntilikina made the most out of his starting nod on Thursday as the New York Knicks faced the Orlando Magic. The 22-year-old point guard was key for the Knicks and coach Tom Thibodeau as he poured in 13 crucial points to help them escape with a one-point win against the visiting Magic, 94-93.

Part of the Ntilikina's impressive start was an impressive drive against Magic center Nikola Vucevic late in the third quarter,  converting an and-one lay-up while meeting Vucevic in the air. Ntilikina made sure to mean-mug the camera after the tough bucket (via IV Sighters).

But according to Ntilikina, he wasn't really trying to do anything crazy after the play. When asked about his reaction after his three-point play, the playmaker from France was quick to dismiss any extracurricular banter (via Knicks Videos).

“It was a good play. I just want to be aggressive when I play. I saw the guard, Chasson (Randle), looking at the screen so I tried to reject and go aggressive to the basket to try and create something and the play happened. I made the and-one so I was happy.”

It was Frank Ntilikina's third start in only seven games this season, with the Knicks zigzagging their way through injuries and COVID-19 protocols. The eighth overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft hasn't gotten a lot of opportunities this season behind Elfrid Payton and Immanuel Quickly, but if he continues to put his head down and get to work, he'll definitely get his minutes as long as the Knicks get their wins.
