The New York Knicks might have made their biggest turning of the tide on Wednesday night against the Toronto Raptors, after an explicit rant from head coach Jeff Hornacek inspired a furious 28-point uncontested Knicks run in the third quarter.

New York's 28-0 assault was the biggest run by a team since a LeBron James-led Cleveland Cavaliers had a 29-0 run against the Milwaukee Bucks in December 2009, according to Elias Sports Bureau via ESPN's Ian Begley.

“We came in here, we watched film and coach kind of got on me. I really didn't like what was being said,” veteran shooting guard Courtney Lee said, according to Begley. “… [It was] a little explicit. I don't think I can repeat what he said to the media. But we exchanged words and we went from there.”

By the end of it, the Knicks had put a four-touchdown advantage over the Raptors, who led by 11 points at the half, putting up a 41-10 third-quarter masterpiece in front of the eyes of a roaring Madison Square Garden crowd.

Tim Hardaway Jr., who has been on a torrid run, exploded for a career-high 38 points along with seven rebounds, seven assists, a steal, and a block — once again picking up a struggling Kristaps Porzingis that continued to experience issues with his shot.
