The New York Knicks will look to bounce back from two straight home losses as they face the New Orleans Pelicans. Julius Randle and RJ Barrett will face off with Brandon Ingram and Jonas Valanciunas at Madison Square Garden in the second Knicks-Pelicans duel of the season. The Knicks made a big trade last week but have yet to place their new addition into the lineup. So, the question remains: is Cam Reddish playing tonight?

Is Cam Reddish playing vs. Pelicans

Reddish was acquired via trade from the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for Kevin Knox and protected first-round pick. Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau said that Reddish will remain sidelined for a while. According to the official NBA injury report, Reddish will remain inactive tonight against the Pelicans.

In 34 games with the Hawks this season, Reddish is averaging. 11.9 points per game and shooting 37.9 percent on 3-pointers. The 22-year-old has the scoring potential to help a Knicks team that has not lived up to expectations this season. He also provides another interesting young piece for New York.

The Knicks at 22-23, are hanging onto the edge of the playoff picture for dear life. They have picked up their level of play recently but still dropped two home games on back-to-back days. The playoff picture in the Eastern Conference is packed and the Knicks need to take care of business against teams like the Pelicans, who are 16-28, in order to reach the postseason.

Reddish won't get the chance to team up with Barrett, his college teammate, just yet. When Reddish does get going for the Knicks, he will look to tap into his star potential.
