It was a scary moment on February 6th as the New York Knicks were playing against the Milwaukee Bucks when Kristaps Porzingis would awkwardly land on the court after a dunk over Giannis Antetokounmpo. As Porzingis laid on the floor, it seemed the worst news could come true as the star of the Knicks was grasping his left knee in pain.

The terrible thing would happen indeed as Porzingis would have to sit on the sidelines for the rest of the season as he tore his ACL. It's always a tough moment for a player as their NBA season goes away within a matter of seconds due to an awkward fall.

However, Porzingis needs to keep his head up as Jabari Parker, who also tore his ACL twice, had his own advice for the young star as he spoke to Marc Berman of the New York Post.

“For himself, to think about his journey, think about who he is and not thinking about comparisons and looking far outside what’s out of his control,’’ Parker said. “Because then you face doubt on top of the doubt you face with yourself. You never want to seek outside advice for either your confidence or your doubt. I want him to stay in tune, taking it real slow and try to train his body to push himself forward.’’

Parker tore the ACL in his left knee when he was a rookie and returned after a long 317 days. Unfortunately, he would tear it again and the Bucks had him sit out at least a total of 12 months due to safety reasons.

Right now, there is no given time when the star player of the Knicks could come back, but given the timeframe Parker had to sit out, Porzingis could be back on the court several months from now.
