New York Knicks owner James Dolan recently encountered yet another confrontation with an angry fan of the once heralded ball club.

As a result, Dolan has returned to the spotlight for all the wrong reasons — though Dolan did quickly turn the tables a bit by making a point to mention his team's free agent plans for next season.

“I can tell you from what we’ve heard I think we’re going to have a successful offseason when it comes to free agents,” Dolan told ESPN Radio, via Mike Vorkunov of The Athletic.

With the now infamous conflict a thing of the past, Dolan elected to air out his grievances on ESPN Radio earlier in the day on Tuesday en route to claiming that he shouldn't have taken the heckling fan's bait.

“Not for nothing, I shouldn’t have taken the bait,” he said, via The New York Post. “I will say we had just lost, again, and believe it or not I get frustrated with it, too. … I don’t mind. You hear all kinds of stuff, but what is a problem is when someone becomes confrontational. These people clearly were there for a confrontation.”

The Knicks have struggled all season long in 2018-19 and have produced quite a disappointing 13-54 record as it stands today.

Looking to turn things around in a hurry come next season, the Knicks have already been linked to current Boston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving, New Orleans Pelicans big man Anthony Davis and Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant.
