After a one-game absence, Kristaps Porzingis looks like he’s set to return to the New York Knicks’ lineup for their game on Saturday against the Sacramento Kings.

Kristaps Porzingis missed his first game of the season against the Orlando Magic due to an elbow injury, one which could require surgery in the offseason.

The Knicks sorely missed Porzingis as they lost to the Magic, 112-99, which snapped their three-game winning streak. Tim Hardaway Jr. starred in Porzingis’ absence with 26 points and 11 rebounds. Michael Beasley, whom Jeff Hornacek inserted in the starting lineup for Porzingis, was a non-factor with four points and four rebounds in 20 minutes of action.

Porzingis is in the midst a remarkable start to the season in his first campaign as the Knicks’ undisputed No. 1 offensive option. He’s averaging 30 points per game, which is currently second in the NBA behind Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo. He’s also shooting 51 percent from the floor and is averaging 2.3 blocks per game.

Porzingis’ return comes at a good time for the Knicks as they face an in-form Kings team that’s won two games in a row. After knocking off the Oklahoma City Thunder, they edged out the Philadelphia 76ers through rookie De’Aaron Fox’s game-winning jumper.
