The first two seasons with the New York Knicks have fizzled out a bit for veteran big man Joakim Noah, with his role becoming a sparsely used bench body. This has put his future with the franchise in question heading into the third year of his four-year, $72.5 million deal.

With that in mind, Noah recently voiced that he is uncertain about his future with New York, but stated to TMZ Sports that he wants to stay with the team.

“I don't know what's going to happen. Coach Fiz is cool man…I love New York.

Things remain up in the air for the 33-year-old given that he was out of the rotation this past season under Jeff Hornacek, playing in just seven games where he averaged 1.7 points on 50 percent shooting from the floor with 2.0 rebounds in 5.7 minutes per contest. This was highly affected by his relationship with Hornacek, as the two didn't eye to eye, which led to the team pushing him away for a brief period of time.

However, this coaching change to David Fizdale could see him get another shot to get back into the rotation to attempt to re-establish himself as one of the better big men in the league. During his stint with the Chicago Bulls, he became one of the top defensive big men in the league, earning a Defensive Player of the Year award and one All-Star selection.

It has been the exact opposite with the Knicks. Injuries initially played a factor followed by Noah's inability to be an effective offensive weapon, which led to him coming off the bench. This could be his last chance to prove that he can be a serviceable option on the court in New York.
