New York Knicks star Julius Randle was feeling himself on Thursday night against the Sacramento Kings. The newly-minted All-Star just showed why he has emerged as one of the top power forwards in the game today — at the expense of a hapless Marvin Bagley III.

Bagley was left on an island with Julius Randle, who for his part, absolutely bullied his way to the rim for a tough deuce (h/t Dime on Twitter):

For what it's worth, Bagley is not a small dude. The Kings big man is listed at 6-foot-11 and 235 lbs. Nonetheless, he proved no match to Julius Randle who decided to power his way to the hoop.

Unfortunately for Bagley, he was on the wrong end of Randle's showcase of strength and willpower.  In Bagley's defense, not many can match up with Julius Randle in the post.

Plays like these are what make Julius Randle stand out from the pack. He's been New York's best player this season and is the primary reason why the Knicks are currently vying for a playoff spot in the wide-open Eastern Conference.

For his effort, Julius Randle was recently rewarded with his first-ever call-up to the All-Star squad. An undeniably much-deserved honor for the 26-year-old who is now playing on his seventh season in the NBA.

Julius Randle has bounced around the NBA:

Julius Randle entered the NBA in 2014 as the Los Angeles Lakers’ seventh pick. While he suffered a season-ending injury in his first game, the 6-foot-8 forward returned to play three more seasons in Los Angeles after his lost rookie campaign. During his last season there, Randle averaged 16.1 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in 26.7 minutes per game.

Randle suited up next for the New Orleans Pelicans in the 2018-19 season. While he started off in a reserve role, Randle progressed to a starting role in The Big Easy during the latter half of his stay there.
