The Atlanta Hawks are one game away from eliminating the New York Knicks from the NBA Playoffs. Ahead of Game 5, Hawks center Clint Capela gave some interesting comments and said the Hawks were going to send the Knicks “on vacation.”

Julius Randle, the Knicks star and NBA's Most Improved Player of the Year, gave a simple response after hearing Capela's comments:

Simple, yet elegant from Randle. The Knicks are facing a must-win situation and need to win Game 5 at Madison Square Garden, or else their season will come to an end.

However, it wasn't just Randle who spoke on the Capela comments. Veteran point guard Derrick Rose issued a hilarious, brutally honest comment as well:

Perhaps Capela has poked the beast and awakened the Knicks, who are in desperation mode. Either way, it's a fun little bit of trash talk in an already physical series that has been getting chippy. Randle was called for a flagrant at the end of Game 4 after a hard foul on Danilo Gallinari, and Reggie Bullock had to be held back by teammates as tempers flared amid the frustration of losing to the Hawks.

The Knicks entered as the 4-seed in the Eastern Conference and were pegged by many as favorites to win the series. However, Trae Young and company have performed well and suddenly are just one victory away from a likely second-round matchup against the top-seeded Philadelphia 76ers.

If these comments are worth anything, it will be a grinding, chippy, tough Game 5, especially with the wild crowd at Madison Square Garden cheering on their squad. Despite the 3-1 lead for the Hawks, the Knicks have proved that they won't back down and are going to fight until the final whistle.

Game 5 is Wednesday night, and Randle and Capela will definitely have some words with each other.
