Julius Randle may not be in contention for MVP alongside his fellow NBA big men Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic; however, he has done something that not even the two were able to do this year–or any other player in NBA history for that matter.

Following the Knicks' win over the Denver Nuggets on Saturday, Randle made history with his incredible overall stat line this season. As of Sunday, he has 1,812 points, 739 rebounds, 298 assists and 204 triples made.

Apparently, he is the first player in NBA history to have at least 1,800 points, 725 rebound, 250 assists and 200 triples in a single season, per Knicks Muse. Even better, the 2022-23 campaign isn't over yet and he still has plenty of chances to add to his tally.

Most importantly for the Knicks, however, is the fact that Julius Randle is not putting up empty stats. His incredible production has allowed the team to thrive this campaign, with New York 42-30 on the season so far. They are fifth in the Eastern Conference and well poised to make the playoffs after missing out last year.

It remains to be seen how far Randle can take the Knicks come postseason, but he has certainly given fans a reason to believe that they could go beyond the first round this time. To recall, the ‘Bockers were eliminated by the Atlanta Hawks in the opening round of the 2020-21 playoffs in just five games.

If the current standings don't change, the Knicks are set to face the Cleveland Cavaliers in the playoffs opener.
