After a couple of injury-riddled seasons with the Boston Celtics, Kemba Walker is finally coming home. The Bronx native signed with the New York Knicks on August 11th and made his first appearance in front of the media on Tuesday, where he discussed how excited he is to be playing at MSG.

Take a look:

You can just see how much it means to Walker to be a member of the Knicks organization. Having attended high school in Harlem, he even played at Madison Square Garden as a youngster. This must be a surreal feeling for Kemba.

The Knicks were looking to make some serious moves in Free Agency, especially when it comes to strengthening their backcourt. They did just that, adding Walker and Evan Fournier, who both played for the Celtics last season.

Kemba was once one of the brightest players in the NBA, but injuries have limited his production over the last few seasons. With the Knicks on the way up, the addition of the 31-year-old should definitely help them get back into the playoffs once again. Playing in front of family and friends could also prove to be huge for Walker, who will be looking to stay healthy and contribute to a promising New York team that he grew up supporting.
