Puma is a clear winner of the offseason, signing sneaker free agents left and right. And now, it looks like they may have added a promising rookie to the fold.

Last week, Puma posted on its Twitter account that they want New York Knicks rookie Kevin Knox:

It appears Puma has gotten its wish:

The No. 9 overall pick recorded 23.3 points per game in the Las Vegas Summer League. While it is yet to be seen if he can translate that success to actual NBA games, the scoring binges are more than enough to give Knicks fans some hope in the coming season. Knox has been very confident in his assessment of the Knicks, and he'll have to play a key role if they're going to surprise fans this upcoming season.

Puma has also snapped up Deandre Ayton, Marvin Bagley III, Michael Porter Jr., Zhaire Smith and Rudy Gay. Hip-hop star Jay-Z is now president of basketball operations of the brand. Other celebrities and athletes rocking Puma include Meek Mill, Rihanna, Usain Bolt and Big Sean.

If these rookies come out big this season, it will be a win-win for Puma and the players. It's a low-risk, high-reward gamble for the brand.
