New York Knicks rookie Kevin Knox is giving back to his community in a big way. One of Puma's most recent basketball signings, Knox worked out an agreement where his alma mater, Tampa Catholic receives $10,000 in gear for the next four years per Bob Putnam of the Tampa Bay Times. Putnam also notes that Knox is paying the airfare for the Tampa Catholic basketball team to travel to a tournament in Las Vegas.

Kevin Knox took to Twitter to express his feelings on giving back to the community.

This is an awesome move by the Knicks rookie and it shows where his head is at. The Tampa Catholic community is overjoyed with his generosity and the school's basketball coach and athletic director, Don Dziagwa has only effusive praise for what Knox is doing. He told Putnam:

“I still don't know how we're going to spend all of it…

“It's a good time to be a part of Tampa Catholic basketball.”

That isn't a bad thing when the coach doesn't know how to spend all the money in the bank. The team will likely be decked out in Puma gear, in honor of Knox.

The Knicks rookie has been sidelined with a nagging ankle injury of late, but he should make his return to the court in the next few games. The Knicks are hoping they drafted a stud who can thrive alongside Kristaps Porzingis. But at the very least, they know they drafted a high character guy.
