New York Knicks rookie Kevin Knox is keenly aware of the rumors linking his idol Kevin Durant to his organization, a partnership that would make his dream come true.

“I’d be able to learn, work out with him, do whatever he does, learn from one of the greatest scorers of all time, a guy that I’ve imaged my game after,” said Knox, according to Stefan Bondy of The New York Daily News. “To be able to be around him 24/7, that’d be pretty cool.”

Knox, the reigning Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month, has patterned his game after the likes of Durant, as his personal coach decided that shaping him into a long sharpshooter was the best archetype to give him a chance at the NBA level.

In a way, Kevin Knox's length and athleticism resemble a long-striding Durant coming out of Texas, though the former will have to hone his ability to shoot and tighten up his handles in a way he can make himself an unstoppable force at the offensive end.

Learning from Kevin Durant on the same practice floor would only help him fortify those skills as well as forging some of his own as he grows within this Knicks organization, one that will surely dart its best shot at the soon-to-be unrestricted free agent at the end of this 2018-19 season.

The Knicks could open up as many as two max-level spots in free agency, one of which could go to restricted free agent Kristaps Porzingis, who will be awaiting a large sum to come his way as well.
