The New York Knicks have yet to definitively find out just what kind of player they are exactly getting in rookie Kevin Knox. One thing is for sure, though. The Knicks have themselves a very confident kid.

Speaking of confidence, Knox was bold enough to intrude the comments section of Bleacher Report’s Instagram account and leave a hilarious comment about Carmelo Anthony’s form.

Well, of course, the youngster was just messing around. But if that was not clear enough, Kevin Knox took to Twitter to clarify that his statement was more of a compliment and less of a dig at the 10-time NBA All-Star.

Knox knows that while Carmelo Anthony is now past his prime, Melo, who is still capable of doing damage on the court, deserves respect regardless of how bad things went for the veteran during his one-year stint with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Anthony was traded last year by the Knicks to the Thunder in exchange for Enes Kanter, Doug McDermott, and a future draft pick. More recently, Anthony was shipped by Oklahoma City to the Atlanta Hawks via a three-team trade that also involved the Philadelphia 76ers.

As for Knox, he will have to learn his lesson that now that he’s in the NBA, the media will find a way to sniff every footprint he plants online.
