One of the main reasons why the New York Knicks are showing off this season is the trust and chemistry between. They put this on display against the Toronto Raptors on Sunday in a late-game play between Julius Randle and RJ Barrett.

With under a minute left in the game, Raptors guard Kyle Lowry converted on a lay-up to cut the Knicks lead to just one. However, Barrett delivered the dagger three from a quick pass from Randle.

The 3-pointer put the Knicks up by four points. The Raptors were able to trim it to two points but had to foul to stop the clock. Randle, through free throws, put the Knicks up by four points again. The Raptors failed to respond and it was the beginning of the end for them.

The sequence may be one of the key reasons why the Knicks have achieved relative success thus far. Coach Tom Thibodeau has indeed done a great job at teaching his guys how to play as one. Randle is definitely one of the major reasons why the Knicks are stacking up those wins. But he also fully trusts his teammates even in the clutch. Much props to Barrett for having the nerves of steel to deliver that dagger.
