Kristaps Porzingis had another subpar game as the New York Knicks fell in overtime to the Miami Heat, 107-103. Porzingis, who has been mired in a massive shooting slump of late, had just 15 points on 5-of-14 shooting against the Heat, but conspicuously didn’t even take a single attempt in overtime.

As Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News reports, Porzingis cited the lack of opportunities for him to get shots up as the reason why he was so quiet during the extra period.

“There's a lot of pressure in the overtime,” Porzingis said. “There weren't many opportunities for me. It's how it goes sometimes. On to the next one. We'll figure out how to get the ball to me and how I can be effective. Right now we're struggling a little bit.”

Porzingis has recently admitted to suffering from some mental fatigue as he continues to adjust to being the main man in New York. Perhaps his inability to get himself going in overtime against the Heat was just another manifestation of that fatigue.

Over his last 10 games, Porzingis is averaging just 18.6 points on 36 percent shooting as he has failed to recapture his early-season form. With their star struggling, the Knicks have unsurprisingly suffered as well. They’re just 1-6 in their last seven games, with their lone win coinciding with the only game Porzingis hit at least 50 percent of his shots.

Porzingis and the Knicks will have the chance to redeem themselves once again on the road against the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday.
